I own a really nice 67 Factory "S" code GT fastback. This car has 2 build sheets, deluxe Marti report, lots of documentation. Car is awesome shape. If you would like pics email me at Warbirds1@cox.net. Here is my dilemma. I need to do some engine work, sounds like lower end bearings. I really like the 67 , 68 Shelby clones. Would you sell or trade for a Shelby clone of equal value? Should I do the engine work and keep it? Let me know your thoughts.

Why take a pretty unusual car and make a clone like dozens of other people with no imagination? A factory S code GT fastback is nice enough in original condition IMHO. Fix it and keep it. From your Marti reports you should see its one-of-not-too-many, "just" as an S code GT.

And I'll be dollars to donuts that in about 5-10 years most of the "E" projects and lots of clones will be re-restored back to original!

Hey guys, thanks for your thoughts. I will not turn my 67 into an Eleanor clone, I think it would be a mistake. This car is too nice. My thoughts were to sell outright and buy a clone or trade for one straight up of equal value. I will probably keep mine unless something really nice comes up.

Doesn't everybodies car have two build sheets?? LOL I guess they wanted to make sure this car was built. One was located under the front seat, still has the spring marks on it, other was located behind the dash board. Everything matches.
