The Wheel & Tire Guide that I maintain is in need of some updating/expansion. If you just stumbled on the VMF or you spent the last year in a cave, check out the Wheel & Tire Guide.
Right now the chart is lacking information for [color:green]model years '71-73</font color=green> and I am pretty sure owners of the biggest Mustangs ever built also use wheels and tires /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif. So I would like to add information from the lucky '71-73 owners on what combinations you have found to work.
Also I have received emails detailing setups that work [color:green]with modifications</font color=green> for all model years. These modifications include spacers, fender rolling, tubular A-arms, and even Negative Wedge Kits. I ignored this info in the past because the chart was originally geared to 'bolt on' setups. However, I would now like to create a second chart of these extreme setups and also what modifications were used to make them work.
Additionally it would be nice to gain some information on [color:green]4 lug setups</font color=green> that have worked for those with 6 cylinder Mustangs or anyone who has performed the wildly unpopular 5 to 4 lug swap /forums/images/icons/wink.gif.
Finally if you have found [color:green]late model wheels</font color=green> that fit and the 'proper' spacers to make them fit, please post this info as well.
Here's the information I need to make this possible:
Model Year:
Modifications: (list them, if none then NONE)
# of Lugs:
Front Wheel Height x Width: (example: 17x8)
Front Wheel Backspacing: (in inches, [color:red]THIS IS CRITICAL INFORMATION</font color=red>)
Front Tire Size: (example: 235/45ZR17)
Rear Wheel Height x Width: (example: 17x8)
Rear Wheel Backspacing: (in inches, [color:red]THIS IS CRITICAL INFORMATION</font color=red>)
Rear Tire Size: (example: 235/45ZR17)
If you used a set of late model wheels then please also include what year/style they are and any spacers you used in the front and rear. THANKS.
If you need information on [color:blue]How to measure Wheel Backspacing</font color=blue> check the chart because the information is listed at the bottom of the page.
Please only use this thread for sharing your findings, we can start a question answer thread when everything is collected. One last thing, check the chart to see if your setup is already listed.
