....using auto meter equipment? Isn't it cheaper to buy the Year one empty cluster and fill it in? Just curious. I think it would be easy especially with an aftermarket wiring harness.

If you have a local hobby shop that carries supplies for "scratch building" they'll certainly have polystyrene strips and sheets, and maybe some ABS. If not, you can always order a sheet of ABS and cut your own strips. Like from here- 1001 ABS Plastic Sheet, 3/16" thk - Modeling, Hobby, Proto's - Hayfield
