The timing cover that is currently on my 260 CID engine is a 1975 part and it does not have a timing pointer cast in. So I am looking for an appropriate timing cover.

According to Bob Mannel's book there are a few options.

C4AE-6059-B
C40E-6059-B
C40E-6059-A

I am looking for one of these preferably the C40E-6059-A.

Thank you,

Corey

Spendy buggers. I paid a pretty coin for the C4AE-6059-B (oil fill bung cast, but not machined out for fill tube) on my dad's replica D-code. Needed one with the old provision for oil fill as the block I used had the hole smashed out to allow oil to go into the galley from the timing cover fill tube.

If you want to go further down the rabbit hole, take the red pill and look at the dots around the casting year clock. One dot is January, two dots is February, three dots March, etc, etc. The two digits in the middle is the casting year. '62, '63, '64.
Took forever to find a nice clean 7-dot July '64 C4AE-6059-B.
