Seems Boyd and the boys are going cross country, they stopped to eat at the famous Texas steak place- the home of the 4lb hunk of meat. Dwayne beat the youngings easily, I think they should have kept Bluebear at least till that point- he must have been good at something-eating? Just saw the part where the one guy lost his steering on interstate after set screws came loose, I wonder what state inspected their work? - will probably raise some more eyebrows for the anti-rod politicians.

Well in this state there really are no inspections but to make sure the vehicle is not stolen from another state. I have been through several times from licensing in other states but the state police have never so much as lifted the hood for an inspection.

As the guy said he thought that oil had gotten in and softened the lock tite that was used for the screws. Give me a break that was an excuse for the cameras and not the truth.

Build just 1 bolt by bolt and see if you don't miss something.I drive EVERY CAR that we build at least 300 miles (Shelby's and real hot rods a little more)If my first "punchlist" is less than 20 items I'm happy!Scott 936-756-2535

Both of the cars out of Boyd's shop had issues. Would you want to drop serious dough with him only to find out that the car could not stand up to a simple 2000 mile run?

I believe you're right. Harleys have multi-piece crankshafts and the re-assembly procedure absolutely requires the use of LocTite. Of course the crankshaft is thoroughly oil-soaked for the life of the motorcycle. Use of LocTite has been S.O.P. for at least 40 years in this application. Funny the HD company never noticed "oil softening" in that time. The LocTite company either.
I believe somebody forgot to tighten something. ::
