This is great, what a find and thanks for sharing. Hopefully this thread will continue to be productive and not raveled by a few. I would hope that you will continue to share with us the plans for this car. Maybe some people will stay on vacation and not grace us with their presence.

Cool! Great pics!

I would save the chrome dealer logo thing and reinstall it post restoration.

the "pre production" sticker is an AWESOME find! It is hard to tell what else is on it, hopefully is has some good info on there! Thanks for sharing this incredible find with us all!

looks like the original purchase date was june 7th 1964. I wonder if Hull Dobbs has any othe documentation?

ROAN65 = Hull-Dobbs is long gone. My mother actually knew the original owner and he had told her that he made the deal and then had to wait to take delivery so the dealership would have a Mustang to display. I am trying to contact "Robert", however I am afaid it may be too late. I am also trying to locate his daughter to see if she has anymore information.

Thanks

Terrific news, and great for Mustang history! Charles Turner was the perfect person to validate this car.

Just an idea, if the car were mine and this friend of your mom's is still around, I would go video tape him telling the story of the car.

Great thought! The real person background would be fantastic. We get all worked up about the correct finsh on a tail pipe bracket/hanger fastener. Imagine a DVD from interview of previous owner.

By the way I recall seeing Hull Dob on Fords when I was a teen. Can't recall where that dealership was.

So...at the risk of starting another pissing match....does that sticker in the one picture that says "Pre-prod" mean that 211 is a pre-production car and 212 is the first (or lowest) numbered production car? The 09C date code would indicate that 211 is a production car, but I'm curious why it has the "pre-prod" sticker by the heater box.
