Ford Mustang Fastback | eBay

Funny, this car was on Bitchin Rides the other night, the owner brought it in to be fixed because the builder "didnt know what he was doing". Looks pretty sweet to me, wondering about the color, looks like a Ford color from '01, Chestnut.

Looks like a clean car, really don't care for the hood. Some of the body lines look a little weird to me along the doors but I don't know that era of cars very well.

The hood would end up in a landfill. The doors look like they're bulging. Maybe the lack of door handles? I actually like the whole rest of it even the color. Nice to see a '69 fastback that's not red, white, or blue.

The 69 I saw in the show was a dark red/burgundy color. They must have done 2 shows with 69 Mustangs

No, this is the same car. Chestnut is technically a brown, but from different angles it is burgundy. I have an '01 F150 I bought new that is this color, when I saw it on the lot I walked in and told the salesman I wanted to look at the burgundy truck, he looked out and said "we don't have a burgundy truck, you mean the brown one?" They showed the interior in the show with the 427 logo in the back seat/speaker area.

HATE IT! Should be called how to F up a mustang.
The door panel is a wavy POS, It is worse than my car. LOL. My door panels are pretty bad.
It is the international color of POOP, Brown! Worse it is Metallic, Bloody Turd. A NISSON Color WTF?
The hood looks like it is a giant nose.
I cant believe this car is going for this much money. What a joke.

I just saw that episode, did NOT like the hood either.

1 hour left, almost $40K and reserve not met. Most likely not going to sell since the owner probably got a lot of money into the car. Should have mentioned it was on the show and probably would have gotten more bidders.

I can see how someone might try to cash in once their car hit the national airwaves. Wonder how much extra bank (it was on a TV show) bragging rights actually amount to?

I want to say that compared to other shops featured on car shows, the Bitching Rides guys seem to do some solid quality work. At least it's not a ton of BS like the Fast & Sloppy guys.

Saw that episode. First thing that popped into my mind was, "New hood and the right color Mach 1 stripes and this would be a nice looking car."

#15 ·
Damn, you guys slamming on this car are pretty harsh! I think it is a gorgeous car. I wouldn't want that hood but the car is very well done.

The only way any car is going to be exactly the way I want it is if I build it (or have it built) myself.

I think Kindig It Designs (Bithcin' Rides) is one of the few TV show builders I would trust with my car. I couldn't afford them, but I would trust them. Haha

That hood makes the car look fugly.

I would have thought that as well but Ive seen 4-5+ TV cars go through eby, like Arsemonkeys or now beachin' and they dont advertise "As seen on TV", not that Ive noticed. So unless you saw the show air or like here you get told about it you wouldnt know just by browsing the ads.
I find it odd they dont plaster all the TV details in the ads to hype it even more, then again there may be some odd production agreement where the TV show doesnt even own the car and the seller cant use the connection as promotion:shrug:

Funny I just noticed, It has Mastercraft tires(not that i wouldnt have it). Penny wise and pound foolish.

Ugly wheels, ugly hood, ugly color, ugly interior.

These builds suck. They take something timeless and "modernize" it to a style that quickly becomes passe and gaudy. From Pro Street of the 1970s to the billet monstrosities of the 90s and whatever they call that piece of crap today. Sorry, but in 2025 you will not want a 1969 Mustang with a 2005-2014 interior.

This isn't a matter of opinion. It's a matter of more money than sense creating garbage show cars that will look like a clown shoe to everyone in 1-5 years.

I completely agree with you, what's cool now will not be a few years down the road, and you can't put these back to original. Original will always be cool.

I'm not loving it either. I'm really surprised be the sloppy block work on the doors in particular. And the "stinger" hood doesn't work with any of the cars lines. I would have expected higher quality from them. They usually put out pretty exceptional stuff, taste being subjective of course.

Ryan, When the car was brought into their shop...according to the show...there were a few issues with the transmission if I recall, the overall drivability and tuning of the engine. Kindig didn't touch the interior or the paint work from my understanding.

What I was alluding to earlier was that it would be a sound purchase mechanically speaking because those are the systems they touched. I wouldn't think twice about purchasing the car and being confident that the mechanics were working flawlessly.

I would be willing to bet the reserve was $100,000+ for that car. And no, it's not my cup of tea. Though I rarely agree with him, jdub is right. This car will quickly be out of date. If you were around in the 70's, you'll remember when something like this was cool,

I wouldn't be caught dead in something like that nowadays.

And interesting enough, these are back in style now. I would drive a van like this around.

I like all sorts of cars and pickups. It's interesting to see the creativity in people, even if we sometimes don't like the finished product. I am a believer in build what you like. I get a kick out of seeing people put blood sweat and tears....and cash into a car that I don't like at all. They took pride in building something many would not like. Good for them! Thankfully most don't care what "Our" opinions are on a car and again, Good for them.

As for car shows, it's called entertainment, pure and simple.

Bitchin Rides used to be OK and I could tolerate it. Not anymore. The guys are now "stars" so they've turned it into the same TV reality car show as all the others.
I still like Fantomworks. They still do their jobs without the drama. They have one metal worker on there that is just fantastic to watch.

Odd, Fantomworks used to be as bad as those dumb A$$es on Graveyard Cars or whatever it is.

All the drama in those shows is a bunch of b.s.. Personally, I think Bitchin Rides has the least drama (although it's still present) of all the car shows except Chasing Classic Cars. But that show usually focuses on exotics.

My opinion(FWIW) it is a matter of opinion, and everyone is entitled to one. I have both types of cars and like them all... I've talked to The guys at Bitchin Rides at SEMA and are actually a bunch of very down to earth guys that kinda laugh at the way the show is "directed". They always say " I guess it makes it good t.v." The cars They build are definitely of subjective taste but the craftsmanship is absolutely top notch...I don't like all of their creative ideas(wait til you see the white/red '68 Chevelle they are getting ready to film next) but the craftsmanship is great. They had no part of the '69 mustang build other than getting it running... Here is the '68 Chevelle they built and if you even think they do a build for close to 150k...not a shot...we know the guy who had this built( his 2nd Kindigit build) and his October invoice alone was over 85k for final assembly... He's around 370k on this build..

Foose built the 65/66 Impala "Imposter" to the tune of 2+ million...Bitchin rides Futureliner was around 5mil. Roadster shop's SEMA build 70 camaro was 2.5 mil...I can go on and on... Ring brothers carbon fiber mustang was the third build for a Russian oil/energy tycoon and tipped the 3+million range...It is insane...

Graveyard is full of drama, no doubt. But I truly enjoy watching it. I find some of the silly humor topnotch . . . . has some extra meaning if you like that kind of stuff. But the bottom line is . . . pretty nice cars get turned out . . regardless of who is really doing them.

Really nice cars, I think they changed a bit this year. Seems like less drama and more info...Mark and Royal drove to SEMA this year, and it's hard to believe but they both are down to earth and funny as heck. Royal was almost embarrassed about all the recognition he was getting...
