Hey everybody

can somebody tell me how to identify a driveshaft for a 65?
Got the driveshaft with my non driveable 65 fastback, wich was originally a I6.
I'm doing a V8 swap and i want to know if it will fit with my T-10 tranny and the 8" rearend.

Are there any characteristics, to see if the driveshaft is for a I6 or a v8 (i.e lenght, diameter).

Or do i have to check the stampings?

thanks and greetz from Germany

Try checking your local book store or mustang vendor for a book called "64 1/2-70 Restoration Guide" book. A valueable book that amoung many things it includes driveshaft measurements and where to mearsure from. NPD sells it for about $35.00
