Says he's going to be without power for 'awhile'. Had bunches of tornadoes touch down in his county.

He wanted everyone to know that he, his wife and animals are all fine but he'd be offline for awhile it looks like.

Did he set himself up for this one on purpose? ;)

Oh, forgot to say. I'm glad they're all fine. Any word on any property damage? Hope everything comes out alright for his family and him. I remember living in South Carolina, till I was 11 (through 1997). We lived in a mobile home, so had to leave a couple of times. Luckily, all we ever lost was a garbage can or two and a shed.

I remember heading up to our family in New York when Hugo was coming (I was like 4 I think).

Mike. Not to worry about the pink plastic flamingos. I understand that they are pretty adaptable creatures and will settle into a new home no matter how far they get blown. Who knows, maybe they're living with some nice family in the Appalachians as I write. I speak with some authority on the subject since I used to coach my daughter's soccer team named the Flamingos and we had one as a mascot. Tragically, I eventually lost its little wire legs and had to humanely put it out of its misery. It was a matter of quality of life.
