All bolted on with the bumper, very good fitment. Starting to look like a car again for now. I will post pics again when all parts are in primer.

 

Looks good! I have found that Mustang to Fear fiberglass usually fits and only requires a little work.

 

Looks great...just called an ordered my upper nose piece.

I'm still going to try to make the Maier R Valence work with it although as I see your car come together, I might change my mind.

Mtf makes incredible stuff. I have their full interior and its a work of art.

 

Do I assume that you put the piece up there and mark the places where you need to drill for the bolt holes?

The valance has metal tabs that have holes already in it. But the did not line up perfect with my fender. I decided to extend the holes in my fender. The bumper I have to bolt the factory brackets to the car. I then had to cut the brackets at the mounting points. SO that the bumper would fit closer to the car. AFter that I bolted the bolts to bracket then used 3m body adhesive to attach the bumper to the bolts.

Also, how do you attach the headlight doors to that?

SO with the head light doors I place them on the car and then used a small drill bit to mark the holes. After that I used a larger drill bit so that the screws would screw in and hold.

I am planning to install the upper nose, use my existing metal gravel pan and keep my bumper type open valance because it fits really well. I also have the fiberglass bumper and I got a cowl hood. Somewhat surprisingly, the hood fit perfect also. I had to have something to clear the intake/carb/air cleaner.

The hood brings up a question. Just looking at your photos, it looks like your hood extends just a bit proud of where the headlight doors come to or do you not have it pushed all the way back? Maybe it is just the position of the hood scoop but it looks like the front hood lip is longer than mine. I had a bit of a panic moment when I saw this thinking I may have to buy a special hood.

My front end profile looks like this but without the MTF nose since I haven't bought it yet. Someday I will finally get this stupid car painted but right now I'm still doing metal work. I feel a lot like Leonardo. When will you make an end of it? When I'm finished. Other stuff keeps continuing to get in my way on the car.

WIth the headlight bezels on it fits really nice. The hood is standard length.

I know how you feel I have been working on it since last fall. I wanted to start last summer but broke my collar bone. Then my father in law(my welder) had his hip replaced and then broke his elbow. It is always something. Sometimes it is hard to see the end.

Got a shipping notice for my upper nose section from MTF (I'm using a maier lower R valence on my car).

Question for you about the order of fitting everything:

Did you first fit your fender so the rear gap at the door was good...then mount the MTF upper piece.

OR

Did you leave the fender loose so you can mount the MTF pieces to the fenders..then worry about filling any gap at the rear of the fender?

My fenders, doors & quarters are not original on my car and I've accepted the fact that pretty much know nothing is going to line up without work...so just trying to figure out the best way to get everything together.

 

I fit the fenders to the door first then the hood. Next I did the upper nose followed by the valance. I did have to grind a little on the back side of the headlight bucket area. To make it have a cleaner look you will need to notch the the valance to fir around the extended area on the bottom of the nose. IT will give it a cleaner look. I did not know that and cut it to fit just above the valance.

 

Been looking for some ground effects for mine, and I'm considering the MTF stuff... Do you have any pictures of the final painted product?
