To be honest, while actually having a manual is nice...it isn't critical(I don't have one myself, not even a Hayne's or Chilton's). Google and YouTube will answer just about any question you have....and if that fails, you can ask something more detailed here or on other forums. The key is asking the right questions.

I should probably start saying what I've done to the car before i joined the group. so far all we have done is replace the fuel pump, fuel filter, and water separator. Cleaned out the fuel line. And the tank and sending unit was junk, and we are currently working on patching the lip that holds the tank because it was rotted out and the previous owner justscrewed in pieces of license plates to patch it.

Water separator? Where did you find one of those on your Mustang?
not sure if thats what its called or not, just what he called it. its the shiny piece right before the carb
