I can't tell you about the quality but if you want to know if its a good repro its not even close to original. Even the good repros have a lot of details off.

 

I agree with tlea. I had a 68 shelby with a repo and eventually found an original console. They were different.

 

I am not that worried about it being exactly correct. I just want to make sure that it is a quality peice before I commit the $$

My car is a '67 vert, 289-4-speed. I would like to do a GT350 clone at some point in the future. If their repro shelby consoles are a close match, I will likely go that route. Since its a vert with red interrior, I'm not even trying to fool anyone. I just want it to be nice.

If you are asking if the one in the link you provided is a close match the answer is no. There are much closer ones available but as I stated even those have little quirks. Specificslly, armrest, console insert, ashtray

 

You know that '67 Shelbys don't have consoles, right? They have a little gauge pod under the radio instead.

 

Yes I know that. There were also no 'verts, and none had a red interrior.
When(or if) I eventually perform the exterrior "clonning" that will be a close to perfect as I can make it (on a vert). I would not want a black interror on a vert and did not really like the deluxe options on the '67 coupe I sold a few years ago.

The interior will stay red/std (at least for now).

Who sells the "better" repro consoles? I have contacted a couple of the suppliers and they don't have any interest in "special" order colors.

At least these folks want to work with me.
