Rocker panel or quarter panel replacement first

I'm working on a 64 and it needs floor pans, inner rockers, outer rockers and quarters. I've welded in subframe connectors already to strengthen the car and am now looking where to start next. Should I do rockers first? then I can either do quarters or floors next.

If you’re doing full pan, full inner/outer rockers and full quarters, which I assume you are, then I would cut everything out first. I would take measurements and add some bracing before doing so. I would start install with inner rockers, then floor pan, then outer rockers, then quarters. If you’re doing L and R pans then you can do one side at a time and I would do it in the same order.

I would do rockers first....if you are looking for a strengthened chassis I would consider using convertible rockers(and floor pans for that matter) assuming you have a coupe or fastback to start with. They add quite a bit of rigidity. The only real downside is you have to use convertible carpet and kick panels.

I will be using a 1 piece floor. The car is actually a 64 falcon (mustangs older brother) so there are no repo rockers/inner rockers available. I've lucked out and found an NOS pass outside rocker panel but have to probably go used on the driver's side and make my own inner rockers panels.

If it wasn't my dad's old car I'd say it needs to go to the crusher but with it's history I want to save it.

You can buy 1 piece rockers. I would do that first. Then floor pan, then Qs.

Rockers then quarter panel. There are rocker weld points behind the quarter you wont get to if you put the qp on first. Also, you'll want the rocker set in place before welding as the rear quarter window brackets bolt to it. If you don't line the section in front of the rear wheel housing / behind the door jamb up properly the quarter window bolt points could be off resulting in a wonky window position.
