Wow, I didn't notice the roll cage around the dash the first time around. That's a nice little weak point right there, way to ruin the point of a roll cage buddy.

Geeze, did he have to upgrade his alternator or add a relay to stop the car from dieing when he brakes?

It never seases to amaze me what some people think looks good. :)
I didnt actually say it looks good. I'd definitely never do that to a car. Just think these old retro cars are kinda cool when they come out of the woodworks. And back in the day when that car was built, I'm sure quite a few people thought it was cool. ;)

Someone should have told Quentin Tarantino about this car. I'd bet it would have been a decent candidate for the movie Deathproof!

Whoa! I immediately started to think of NightRider. Looks like the spacing isn't too bad! ;)

I've been seeing this a lot more lately. I really don't get it.

There is a guy locally that has a 65 coupe that looks similar to that, except it had 3 sets of lights on each side. It was once a track car as well, maybe a pattern for track cars? I don't see the need for that many lights when its made for the track?

Wheeee! I like it. I'm gonna do it too. Only mine will strobe all the way from left to right with a groaning "Rooo-roo, roo-roo" sound. And when I hit the brakes a voice module in the trunk will state "BY YOUR COMMAND."
Woohoo,woohoo!

Does it come with a spare welding helmet to protect the guy's retinas behind you!

Mounting the shocks reduced the unsprung weight since the shock body is heavier than the shock shaft. I can't imagine it makes much difference ion a rear end setup like that. I think you see it more often on offroad trucks, and various other race cars...
