Sick of the paying out the nose to replace them! (late 68 rear side markers/reflectors.) should I just delete them? How funny would it look? It's a restomod anyway.(I'm Ass-u-ming that they can easily be re=installed at a later date should I choose to put them back on.) Body work time coming up and figured while I was at it! Someone reproduce these things! One would think that since they this item came on more than just the mustang it would be easier on the wallet for them!

I deleted them off of Trouble and it looks great! ::

Guess this is going to sound stupid but what are side markers? Are they like the lights on the side of the 71-73 mustangs? How do they get stolen, arn't they screwed in? I hate people that steal valve stem caps!! I'm going to kill the next person that trys to steal them.

I have the late 68 reflectors on the quarters, near the bumper. I don't know how they do it, but I think it's the same person each time...they manage to "pop" them out with maybe a screwdriver? I've had to repair the scratches. One time it was "sheared" or slice off somehow at the "bolt". The rest of the "bolt" and the nut were in my trunk!!

I like it Laurie! I'm going to delete them and remove temptation.

That or you could just hook up the battery to the skin of the car, so the get the $h!t shocked out of them next time they try to do it? :: I'm evil.

I must be too, 'cuz that made me laugh like crazy!!! I had an instant visual that resembled a looney toons episode!

That's a very strange thing to steal off a Mustang. I believe they are being reproduced. It was easy to delete them off of Trouble as one quarter replacement panel didn't have them to begin with. :: We fiberglassed over the holes in the other side, then smoothed with Metal2Metal, and finished with a thin coat of filler. You can't tell the holes were ever there. ;)

I like the idea of electryfying them, too. Heaven help anyone who tries to steal them off of Murphy. Can you say roadkill? ::

The late '68 markers look like an after-thought anyway.. the 67-8 body looks better with out them... Good for you for dumping them...

It's great stuff (except when you get the dust in your eyes and you wear contacts...ouch!). I used it all over Trouble during the bodywork. The trick is to do a thin layer, sand it down well, and then put on another layer, etc. If you put it on thick, it won't sand well and will come off in chunks.

Hey! Murphy resents that remark! I think the markers look good on a coupe, but not on a fastback. ;)

Mine always seem to get damaged ::. Maybe it is just someone trying to steal mine also ::.They are an after thought. After the strike in late 67 Ford was trying to cut costs and borrowed them from Cougars to finish the 68 production run. ::

Mitch, I think he can drive me down to the meet in the middle get together, he is growing so fast!! He is cruising around in his Fire engine walker as I type...I couldn't find a Mustang, so I'm already thinking about how I can modify the walker! LOL!
