try going to MartiAutoworks they should have everything you need. An you can go to Ford an get a build sheet for it if you need one. Just call 1-800-392-3673 then English 1 Other Inquires 5 Then Other Inquires 2 then ask for a built sheet an they will transfer you to research dept

I got a build sheet from Ford as well. Just call and ask for one and in 3 or 4 weeks it'll show up in the mail. It's not the fastest service but it's cool to know what your car left the factory with.

I have my fender apron and door tag but I'm missing my dash tag. Not sure what I should do about that.

You're not going to like this, but you're going to have to have a state issued VIN tag put on your car. They'll rivet a tag to your door frame. The tag on the door is only a warranty plate and there's no issue with removing those. But the VIN tag on the dash should never have been messed with. It's a big no no.

Don't know what you mean by core support tag...you mean buck tag? That's not on all Mustangs and was used on assembly line.

Door tag is availible from Marti. If your car is 67 or newer it will be automatically correct when you provide the VIN number. 64-66 records are gone you have to provide all info you want on the door tag...the warrenty number is same as the VIN.

Assuming you are referring to your 69 you're set for the dog tag. Far as I know the actual VIN displayed in the windshield is not reproduced/or restamped...this is often discussed here!

Well, that's most of it. The VIN, interior and exterior color, trans, and axle can be worked out from examining the car. The build date can be worked out from the "Numbers" book. You'll only have to guess on the DSO.

As for the VIN tag, 64-67 Mustangs didn't have one.

68-73 Mustangs had the VIN stamped on the fender apron. Authenticating such a car for legal replacement of a VIN tag should be no problem, as long as you go about it correctly. After all, that's the point of stamping the fender aprons.
