I clicked on the pics, but have a question - could it be backwards? The link shows the one with the black, orange, and red wires as being a 2 speed motor, and the one with the yellow and black wires is a 3 speed motor. Mine is a 3 speed motor and has the black, orange, and red wires.

Nope, it's correct. If you have a 3-wire motor running 3-speeds, someone has wired a 2-speed motor into your car.

You see, the 2-speed motor is an actual 2-speed motor, with a ground wire and a low-speed power lead and high-speed power lead.

The 3-speed motor is actually a one-speed motor with a 3-speed grounding control switch using resistors.

Easy, huh? The key is 3-wires = 2-speed, 2 wires = 3-speed.

Apparently there is a demand for motors with correct appearance and wiring.

How come Glazier-Nolan isn't a sponsor here?

Well, I have downloaded their searchable pdf catalog, which anyone can do, and they also have a very nice online store, which makes linking parts they list a breeze. And their photos are typically the best on the internet. Why should I link somewhere else, unless the item in question, which I have done many times, is only available somewhere else?

Now to be fair, I don't work for them. Their shop is about 15 miles away. I did work for them some years ago, and know them well enough that I stop by occasionally, and I'd even help them out from time to time if asked.

I think "shill" is a little harsh. Shills have a personal financial interest in what they do. There are people who rush to this forum every time CJ, etc. has a sale on to make sure everybody knows. G/N has had several sales so far this year, and I have said not a word.

My point with this thread is that something widely needed, and never before offered in correct form is now available. That's what qualifies this thread as belonging on the technical forum, not on the classifieds.

If all I were doing was a breathless "Hey guys, G/N is having a fabulous 15% Mother's Day Sale with discounts on everything, even special orders!!!", that could be shilling, if I were employed by them. But I'm not.

By the way, there was such a sale, I'm not making that up.

It's a good question Stan, I would think G-N would benefit as a sponsor.

But I don't think it's fair to call 22 a shill. He's a very knowledgeable person who contributes far more than he takes away.

I happen to link frequently to NPD (who does happen to be a sponsor) because I'm familiar with their site layout and have an easier time navigating through it than G-N. It doesn't make one a shill.

Please explain how your initial post, description of part, and said usage will benefit anyone looking for that part? There is very little (if any) information about it, more than half of the people don't even know what it is, and there is absolutely ZERO way for ANYONE in the future to find this post using a search function. The ONLY THING that this post does is draw a casual reader who if they actually want to know what it is are compelled to click on a link and visit a shopping site (that doesn't have a lot more useful information about what it is) that isn't one of our site sponsors. A link which is tracked on G/N site and they can easily produce a report of sales resulting from VMF traffic that would justify the spend to be a vendor....

You walk a fine line, and we've had our runs in before. This should be pretty easy to fix, if you want to include a link to G/N please make sure it is clear it is a link to a shopping site (aka not IMG linking, paste the URL below the image so we can all see it is a site, also please include enough content for the search engine to be useful in the future) we all paste links to various shopping sites to help out members...I am a big posted of tirerack links personally.

I will add a disclaimer to all of my future links to the effect
I am a private person with no financial ties to any vendor, but I will often post links to my personal favorite vendor who sells Mustang parts for profit
when each and every part link on this forum is required to do so. I only started mentioning my favorite vendor after couple of years of visiting this forum and about every fourth thread is "go to CJ for this" and "NPD for that," etc. I leave judgement of such posts to obsidianspider. So far, so good.

In other words, why the Holy **** should I do something NO ONE ELSE ON THIS FORUM does?

I dunno what your personal beef with me is, but please get over it.

I remain at your service.

Apart from the near-daily doctor visit, I'm stuck here at home with little to do except scan the 'net for new parts and interesting trivia. They won't even let me cut the grass, or wash the car. I'm hoping to recover sufficiently to do the quarter panel work my car requires later this summer.

In all fairness, both CJ and NPD are supporting vendors.

Let's just make it a pay-only site and then we can all get on with our (Mustang) lives. Personally, I think this is a little silly...LOL.
I agree. As for the "Supporting Vendor" designation, that has nothing to do with me. I do know the owner occasionally posts here, but as for anything official, that's up to him and VMF.

Thanks for posting, your service (in helicopters and otherwise) and keep on doing what you're doing (including here please). Sorry to hear about the medical stress.

Actually it does because search engines are stupid. People complain ALOT that they can't find what they are searching for. If I was searching for a concourse correct 65 fan motor which is the entire point of this post based on your reponses.....I would not find this post. ZERO chance if it happening both with the built in search...and a google search.

Believe it or not, I am trying to help here, I understand what you want to do and it is appreciated, but we (mods/admin) have to walk a fine line too and avoid making supporting vendors think to themselves "why am I paying to get my name out there when I could just hire a small staff of people to join discussion forums and be helpful with a link to my site whenever someone needs something" (which isn't what you are doing, we know that because it has been discussed ad naseum).

The best part about this discussion at this point is now we have added the needed details that your post pointing out concourse correct replacement heater defroster blower motors for 1965 1966 mustang with yellow, blue, green, black, indiglo, color wires are available new at Glazier's. <= keywords for future searches

Ohhhh a helicopter expert?

22gt.....want to make a recommendation for a GPS enabled quad copter with a 2 or 3 ways brushless gimbel that I can mount my Drift HD ghost to with 8-10 minutes of flight time, easily swapped out batteries, and under $900?

I'm been looking at them recently for the next mini-feed BBQ

I'm type-rated in the S-61, with a max gross of 21,000 pounds. Not much I can offer you, apparently.

Boys, boys...both of you are invaluable to this forum and I hate it when there's bickering. Pick up your toys and count to 10.
