I pulled this from an 8" axle, but did not find any numbers or way to figure out who makes it. I would guess it's any original ford.

Equaloc? Does it have 2 pinions or 4? 2 pinions is an equaloc. The hat looks different from my equaloc though if my brain is working right.

I think all OEM 8" rears were 2-pinion, whether they were conventional or locking. The 9" rear was either 2 or 4 pinion, and could be conventional or locking either way.

It has 2 pimions. I read somewhere they could be either 2 or 4. It has the 4 springs in the center so I think it is a traction loc and not a equaloc. Either way I am saving it for my conv project.

Looks to me like a two pinion clutch type limited slip, not by any means a locking carrier.
Ford's Equalock™ and Traction-Lok™ were both clutch-type limited slip, although Ford often called both of them "locking". Even the Traction-Lok™ in current produaction 8.8 axles is limited slip.

Agreed.
