I can understand where you, Richelieu, and Jay are coming from regarding political O/T posts. I normally don't get involved, but this time I have. I'm trying to get people to ask questions about policies and politics like they ask questions about mustangs. Yet many here have blind allegiences one way or another. That's not a good approach to life.

Anyway, today, and 9/11/01 were and are traumatic events, and some of us need to get stuff off our chests. For many of us, VMF is our only real outlet to talk frankly and openly about things that matter to us. It should blow over in a couple of days, at least I hope so.

Please, Cloney...be tolerant. No one is forcing you to read these posts, nor forcing you to participate. Surely that's not asking too much, is it?

I think Midlife's post sums it up. I love to read the forum and absorb as much Mustang info I can, BUT I also feel that the forum is a place were all us "friends" can vent things that are bothering us. Kind of like "Cheers".


I am also against any political or religious views being posted here, people here have the right to there opinion but they also must realize others don't feel the same way and would prefer not to read about it.
It may sound like I am walking the fence, and maybe I am a bit, but I try not to let the post I read bother me, because I realize everyone here in America is entilted to their opinion.

Lets all try to place nice. Wouldn't want to alert the VMF police much less GOD(Bob).

I got something similar to the BS metre scale on my labs at Ranger School,it was called a BS Stamp, it even had a picture of a bull with an X on it, I have to send a copy of the metre back to the school and tell them I found a more high tech version of the stamp!
Anyways,maybe we could have a separate forum for BS, I mean O/T,maybe have a formal vote, minimum 100 votes and decide what the democratic majority says.Frankly, I coudn't care less, if it says O/T and I don't have the time or interest to read it, I move on and find something that I like.Alan
