I don’t know if these pictures help. They’re MAC long tubes. Easy to install as #5 tube slips in. Great ground clearance, if you have PS, they’ll clear the ram without a drop bracket. They also work on GT40P heads. I’m running a 7 qt Canton pan, front sump.
Bags, whats up with the Heidt's Pro G ? THAT is a problem, and that setup reduces handling ability, and weakens the overall structure of the car. How far into the install are you ? Any chance of backing out ? LSG
Zray, Hi, The object is improved driving, the pro g being a bit better quality than sticking a mustang11 on I believe. I,m learning as I go along, don't have the experience around that you have. Only gained from magazines, utube etc,
These cars didn't sell in the millions when new because they handled like pigs. They were a dream to drive and can be made to handle great again just by having your original steering box restored by one of the forum members, Chock, who also has his own website. That, and a few upgrades like Opentracker control arms and spring pivots will have your car handling better than new, and better than the path you are now on. And for 1/2 the cost.
If possible, cancel your order, and investigate the other possibility mentioned.
Primarily because there are far better suspension solutions for a LOT less money. Wish you would have joined here prior to believing everything you read in a magazine or watched on YouTube. Sounds like your pregnant now though. I don’t recall seeing any other threads here regarding the Heidts suspension. You might have to be the pioneer. Best of luck. Post up some pics of your progress.
Bags, we're ripping on the Heidts Pro G because it IS a stock MII setup. Its just made with new pieces instead of taken off a car from out on the salvage yard. Seriously, how far into this are you ? Even if you find headers, you then have to change the steering and the oil pan. And then you have a weakened car that doesn't handle well, AND you spent alot of cash to hurt the car and not help it............how far down this road are you ? LSG
Doubt you will find an off the shelf header. Might be time to get a welder, tube bender, chop saw and one of them build your own header thingies that helps route the tubing.
