Where do you guys place your Jack when you want to get the nose of your '65-'66 Mustangs up in the air?

And once they are up, where do you place your jack stands for doing work on your front suspension, and the like?

You are awesome Bartl, but I couldn't think of two worst places to jack up the front of the car...

If my Randalls rack and pinion bracket didn't replace the front cross-member altogether, I'd be getting one of these from you. I very much dislike jacking the front of the car up from side to side, as I don't trust that the R&P bracket/cross-member is strong enough to handle that kinda weight.

The Ford crossmember and those sold by other vendors do not have the same tubing specifications as mine. They are thinner, and in some cases, smaller diameter as well. Just putting a jack pad on your existing crossmember may not be a structurally sound idea. .....just a heads up, that's all.

I cut an 8" piece of 2x4 into a wedge shape and put it under the radiator crossmember. Because of the wedge it will slip in between the two strut rod crossmembers and is high enough to put a jack pad under it. With my floor jack I can get the front wheels high enough to put a set of ramps under the tires.
