I have a 1966 Mustang Coupe 289 Automatic. I am in the process of restoration and I'm working on the power steering. I have bought kits to rebuild the Ford pump, Power Cylinder and the Control Valve. After dismantling everything I found the Control Valve centering spring, under the end cap, had rusted clean through. I have searched high and low and can't find anywhere to buy a new spring. Also, a few other parts with excessive wear or pitting from rust that I need to replace are: The long spool bolt, the spacer sleeve that goes through the centering spring over the bolt, the travel regulator, stop pin and washer, and the large washer on the connecting link end of the control valve. Does anyone know where you can acquire these parts or have some good used parts, that you could sell me, that aren't all pitted with rust like mine? I have been able to find everything else I need, including new hose seats.

Thanks, I have already checked there and I couldn't find any of these parts for sale. Yes, I know I could send my parts out to have them rebuilt. I know of several good sources to do that, but I like to rebuild my own parts whenever I can, not just for the savings but for the experience and the satisfaction that come with doing it as well. I can do most any repair or rebuild if I have the right parts.

Thanks Dan, I received the parts. This should be all I need. You have been most helpful. One more question;
I have rebuilt the power cylinder and replaced the hose seats. All went fine. Because the original boot was mostly gone, that had covered the ball stud that connects to the center link, I blew out most of the grease that was filled with dirt. What is the best way to re-grease that joint? Do I just pack it in the best I can by hand or is there a better way? Is there any way to remove that joint/stud without destroying the power cylinder?
