Working on a 70 mustang, installed rebuilt power steering pump and all hoses with from OPG, replaced the valve and cylinders with new from CJ's. Put it all together , filled with fluid, bled it for a bit then started the car. turned the steering wheel just a bit and the damn wheel turned to the left so fast it caught my hand in it. Hit the stop and the pump started whining like it was over pressuring. Shut car off and for a couple seconds the wheel was real hard to turn then loosened up. Turned it back and forth a couple more times to check for binding, no problems. Started it back up and same thing, wheel spun by itself to the left and pump started whining. Im thinking something is jammed up in the valve forcing oil to one side of the cylinder. Any ideas ? Gonna call CJ's first thing in the AM....
