Anyone a fan of the exterior color "Emberglow"

Any Emberglow owners here?

Is this a very rare exterior color and does it have more orange than red in it? I've seen some pics online and it seems the color hue varies, not sure which hue is supposed to be correct for vintage?

You must be referring to Emberglow. I love it myself.

It's my favorite '66 color... And realize that looking/comparing ANY factory colors on a computer monitor will only provide you with a "ballpark" idea of what a color looks like. Variables of paint types/manufactures combined with camera settings combined with light source/type combined with possible color-correcting combined with ill-set monitor calibrations that are not color-corrected.... (whew) means that what you're looking at is almost 5-6 generations or degrees separated from reality.

On my monitor, the beautiful photo chillininnh posted looks pretty darned close.

It is a color some people really like or really hate. I like it but would only paint my car the color if it was originally that color. And I agree about the computer not giving a good rendition of this color. Looks a lot better in person.

Beautiful color. Very classic. I like it better on fastbacks than coupes, but I feel that way about all the lighter colors

Emberglow is a fantastic color. That exterior with the Emberglow/Parchment interior is visually stunning. It is my 2nd favorite '66 color right behind Tahoe Turquoise Metallic combined with Aqua/White Pony interior. As I was searching for my '66 FB, those were the only two exterior/interior color combinations I considered. Naturally that narrowed down my choices and factored in why it took me over 9 months to find my car.

Ditto RC65 A-code. I painted our '65 coupe in embargo only because I wanted to use the pony emberglo and parchment interior. That and there aren't too many of them around. Just before it was completed, I attended a car show in town and there was a very nice '66 with original emberglo paint and interior. Oh well.

Love it! Popular color around Texas, especially Austin.

Hook-em-Hornes!!!!!!!!

The color is a close match to the colors of the University of Texas!

The eyes of Texas are upon you
All the live long days!
The eyes of Texas are upon you
And you cannot get away!

Do not think you can escape them
From night till early in the morn
The eyes of Texas are upon you
Till Gabriel blows his horn!

Last year I stopped by a local shop to see what was up. One of the cars there was a 66 hardtop. Emberglo. With the Emberglo and Parchment deluxe interior. And a parchment vinyl top. Oh, and it was a GT. A K code GT. I want one.

It looked something like this-

My favorite color! I had one a few years ago and knew I would not have the time to restore it so I sold it to a guy in Mississippi. I wish I still had it but hope he's given it a good home.

The wheels are made by Rocket Racing Wheels. The model is Booster Hyper Shot with the optional spinner.

I still need to swap out the woodgrain on the glove box so that it matches my dash cluster. Here are a couple of interior shots. The gauges are Autometer American Muscle series.
