Ball.

 

I am struggling with this choice as well. I am going to try the T-Shifter first and then likely go to the ball shifter.

 

I have both for my hurst shifter and was undecided for a long time but ended up going with the ball. To me it looks more period correct on a pre-70 mustang.

 

With the T-handle you've got to carry a wash-cloth around in your glove box to drive after the car's been sitting in summer sun... Those things get palm-blistering hot.

 

I have both for my Hurst handle. I like to change it up from time to time. Currently using the black ball with five speed shift pattern on it.

Anyway to adapt a Ball onto the factory A/T shifter? That would be awesome!

 

I purchased a T handle for my Hurst just in case I ever get the car finished... The brushed aluminum seemed a bit course to me so I repolished it with some 600 grit emery. Then I spotted some transparent candy apple red paint at a hobby store and couldn't resist. I think it looks pretty nice. I'll have to get a pic and post it.

 

Ball. Much easier on the hands and legs on the DD. The T-handle might hit your right leg when shifting into second - would be a PITA. I use my old T-handle from the Hurst shifter now as a paperweight at work! irate:

haha. but in all seriousness, I like ball shifters

Ball without a doubt. Easier to and more comfortable to grab.

68 and earlier I like the White cueball. 69 goes either way. 70 and up I like the T-handle.

 

I'm running the Hurst T in my 69. I love it.

I've had both. No comparison - ball is better.

I took the T-handle off my Boss 351 and put on a ball. I just got better control with the ball.

With black interior, the white is the only way to go, it stands out really nice...

White ball in a black interior jumps out at you.
